Coral Mermaid-Challeneging Beaded Peyote

Coral Mermaid - I will keep you up to date on this project. I will take pictures of the beads and up date you on this. I want the color of the beads to be right!

My next project I am challenging myself to do this. I have all the beads for this and the pattern made, however, when printing it out the printer at the bead store, the ink ran out of color on my pattern, which is hard to see. I think the colors of the beads I have don't really match the color of Coral the mermaid. My husband is going to buy the program for me so that we can get the closest accurate color of the print. It is a slow process at the moment and I am just coming to pieces, because I want to start my mermaid project like "Now"! I want to do it right so, I will be paitent.

The first pattern made took two tables and the floor. It has been condensed to 6 pages, cut and taped together.

I have gotten permission from Carol Phillips to turn her mermaid 'Coral' into a flat beaded peyote pattern. I want to make a peyote necklace.

The Coral Mermaid print is below. The Artist Carol Phillips did this remarkable painting below.

Bumps or Swell Peyote Beaded Bracelets

Here is another bracelet design called either "Swells" or "Bumps" due to the swell/bumps. This project takes about 2 hours to make. There are 4 different size beads along with Delica beads in them.

Giraffe -Delica Beaded Necklace

Hello, and thank you for stopping by to read my blogs. I haven't blogged for awhile, but I hope you enjoy the new blog item I beaded.

Giraffe Beaded Peyote Necklace.

I started over on this project three times and here is the beginning and finished piece. I started this piece in March, but worked on it off an on. The picture below is what took me a month off and on.

The fringe to the Giraffe necklace took me about 3 weeks to work on (off and on) not in one sitting. I had other things to do like work.. laughing..

Starting on the neck area that goes around your head. This is also my 'peyote' beading area. I have 3 different work stations not including my lampwork area.

A better picture of the side of the necklace. I added three rows of faceted beads and delicas.

The neck area took me about 1 an a half weeks to work on it with other projects in order.

Finished projected 17 May of 2008. I started it in March. As I said not in one sitting. IF I had time to do it in one sitting it would have taken me a little over a month.

Have an Enchanted Day!

Calypso 'Under The Sea' -Brick Fringed Bracelet

Calypso 'Under The Sea' Brick and Fringed Bracelet

The starting of Calypso Fringe Bracelet took me about 7 hours to make (not in one sitting). I chose earth tone colors and pick out Terra Cast Sea Charms. The Nautilus will be used for the closure. The mermaid the center focal for the bracelet. They are handmade with pewter. A great artist made them on ebay.

You will see below beside the fringe the brck stitch. You will see the charms I picked out as well.

This bracelet has some weight to it and I did sell it not long after it was made. I had it for sale on ebay, but the watchers forgot to bid over the weekend and someone else was lucky and purchased it off of ebay.

The finished piece...

I have a lot going on and just had not had time to blog for those who like to read my blogs.

First Amulet Necklace

It has been awhile since I have posted. I am not sure if anyone read them but, I thought to post a few items to let you know what other things I can do. I made my first amulet necklace and I am hooked!I believe I did this in late Spring 07. This necklace took me 9 hours to make it but in three (3) days, and not all in one sitting. I would work on it at lunch or if I was at home. I didn't want to make a typical string of beads for the necklace part so I saw a picture and winged it from there. My first project and I have to say, it didn't turn out bad. I don't like to toot my own horn but I was pretty proud of myself on this project. I like challenging myself to see if I can do it, and I will try till I get it right, but this one, was fun to make. My husband also is making one, but due to work he has not finished his.

This peridot and turqouise necklace was my second project sometime in June 07. This one took me about 3 hours while on vacation in Boynton Beach, FL. While watching t.v. and relaxing. I had a dress I wanted to wear and didn't have a necklace to match so I made this. I wore it with a dress on my husband birthday.

I make many different designs that I do not make or sell on eBay, but I make them for my local area here in my home town. Until the next time, have a great week!
